Florida Looks to Regulate CBD as Sunshine State Looks to Pass Cannabidiol Laws by September
The Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried is making efforts that will see the regulation of Cannabidiol (CBD).
Talking to CBS12, Fried said that a substantial number of products labeled as CBD do not even contain CBD in them. He went on to explain that since there is no CBD regulatory authority in Florida, it is hard to trust over the counter products dubbed CBD.
CBD is the non-psychoactive ingredient of the Hemp plant, meaning that it does not make the user high. Over the years, CBD has been useful and gained popularity due to its ability to help with anxiety, stress, aches, and pains.
Fried hopes that regulations on CBD will pass by September.
