New Curaleaf Ground Flower Pods of Medical Cannabis Debut in New York
  • The ground flower pods are less expensive than purchasing CBD oil.
  • The products will exclusively be sold in New York.

Curaleaf is one of the biggest names in the cannabis industry, and their products span across the entire United States. Their subsidiary, Curaleaf New York, is one of the leading cannabis companies in the US, operating four medical cannabis dispensaries in Queens, Long Island, Hudson Valley, and North Country, New York. Now, according to reports from PR Newswire, Curaleaf New York has officially launched a new product – Curaleaf Ground Flower Pods.

These flower pods are the first medical cannabis products that use cannabis flower, and they will be sold at the Carle Place dispensary in Nassau County, Long Island. However, the pods are due to be launched at all four of the New York dispensaries in the next few weeks.

Presently, the ground flower pods make it possible for consumers to use medical marijuana with the use of medicinal vapors. Each pod includes 350 mg of active cannabinoids with a 20:1 THC:CBD ratio with both Indica and Sativa. Every 3.5 mg package includes 700 mg. Joseph Lusardi, the CEO of Curaleaf, stated:

“Curaleaf is very pleased to be launching the first medical cannabis flower products to be offered in New York stated, which is first and foremost a win for our patients.” Lusardi pointed out that the use of flower allows consumers to have the raw form of the substance, which is substantially more affordable and provides patients with more options. He added, “We’d like to thank the Department of Health for permitting us to sell vapable flower. We believe it’s an important step toward making natural products available in New York.”

Dr. Grace Forde, MD, the director of Neurological Services at North American Partners in Pain Management in Long Island, practices medicine in Long Island, and helps patients to find the best remedy for their conditions. Expanding beyond cannabis oil is “extremely beneficial,” since it is natural, affordable, and offers a faster effect than what oil can provide. Due to these benefits, Dr. Forde stated that the flower “is therefore better suited for treating certain medical conditions.”

Now, consumers can also purchase the Curaleaf Tabletop Vaporizer, which heats the ground flower cannabis pods. As a result, the contents emit a mild, smokeless vapor, which allows users to get the benefits of using cannabis, but without the harm that smoking could cause.

Earlier this year, a delivery program was launched by Curaleaf New York, which runs on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for free with a purchase. Registered patients and caregivers are able to use this service in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Kings, and New York Counties.

Consumers that want the earliest access to these pods should go to Curaleaf Carle Place, which is located at 255 Glen Cove Road, near 9:00am on the day of the launch. The ground flower pods will be available while supplies last, and consumers can reach the location by phone at 516-534-2872.
