Texas has witnessed the launching of its first contract and manufacturing organization (CDMO), Sante Laboratories. The laboratories have been ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited to provide the state with product development and testing services in the thriving hemp industry. With tech and expertise in analytical chemistry, formulation development, and nanotechnology, the labs will speed up innovation, offer transparent, top quality testing, therefore, and reduce technical risk.

The complexity of the contents of hemp makes testing just as complicated, which makes analytical interference, and inconsistent test outcomes common phenomena. The Journal of the American Medical Association stated that most hemp-derived products were found to have been mislabeled, pointing towards incorrect formulation or inconsistent testing methodology.
