Long Time Cannabis Supporters are Progressively Shifting to CBD vs THC Compound

Despite cannabis’ “high” and relaxing effects, many cannabis connoisseurs are shifting from Tetrahydrocannabinol/ THC (the intoxicating compound of cannabis) to Cannabidiol (CBD).

CBD is one of the most useful compounds in cannabis and hemp, and is associated with therapeutic benefits. THC makes the user high and stoned, but sometimes disoriented and paranoid. CBD does none of this, but works well at reducing inflammation, offering relaxation, a calm, and enhancing a good frame of mind.

THC has different effects on people. Some enjoy it as it works well for them, and then there are others it makes feel anxious and paranoid. Nevertheless, THC helps many users deal with issues like insomnia, anxiety, and pain in a relatively safe, non-toxic, and non-addictive way.

Those who feel paranoia and anxiety after using THC are progressively considering CBD as the ideal solution.

Both CBD and THC have different mechanisms within the user’s body. They work with other cannabis ingredients like terpenes and flavonoids to produce an entourage effect, thus creating well-rounded and lasting effects for the user. Although CBD and THC have been known to reduce social anxiety, higher doses of THC alone can create the opposite effect, making people feel more nervous.

That said, CBD is considered more effective in handling neuropathic pain, while THC is a more effective analgesic in relieving some sorts of pain. The two are anti-convulsant, but when used in equal ratios together, they lead to balanced effects to most people. Some still seem not to get well along with THC regardless of how much they want to, and there thus are many cases of such kinds of people (ex-stoners) shifting to CBD.

CBD comes in an array of forms and delivery options. It has proven effective in treating conditions like anxiety, nervousness before public speaking, insomnia, pain, and inflammation, among others. Many people consider CBD as “the best for both words” as it offers relief and helps calm symptoms without inducing any side effects on the user.

Finally, it’s worth noting that there’s a happy medium and room for compromise. With cannabis legalization among many US states, the plant is specially cultivated to produce different ratios and quantities of CBD and THC. A good example of this is a cannabis strain called Dancehall.

Dancehall contains equal CBD and THC proportions, at about 10% to 15% each. Dancehall works well for people who want to enjoy THC effects but also temper the effects CBD. There are also others who choose to vape THC-heavy flowers and later on take pure CBD buds to reduce the initial THC buzz intensity.

Whether you are buying THC or CBD flowers or even strains like Dancehall with a mix of the two, be sure to do your homework well. Only go for products from a legal and reputable dispensary, and if buying online, check third party lab results which indicate potency and safety. It’s also prudent to read online reviews from verified buyers before placing an order.

He will be one of the most viewed authors due to his own thrill in sharing what he is learning about cannabidiol and supplement use. With a goal of providing clarity within the budding CBD oil industry, Denis will be spending much of the year going through a catalogue of cannabis oil companies in the near future.
