Cannabis Company Lowell Herb Adds Chris Rock, Miley Cyrus, Sarah Silverman and Mark Ronson as Investors
California-based cannabis company Lowell Herb has announced its recent round of funding with support from A-list investors including Miley Cyrus, Sarah Silverman, Mark Ronson, and Chris Rock.
The four have been big fans of the brand and of significant help to the company by helping the brand reach a huge audience all over the country.
Welcoming them to the Lowell family, Lowell CEO and co-founder David Elias expressed his excitement for having such talented artists as part of their investment round. Elias noted that support from the creative community would advance the company as they look forward to the end of pot prohibition.
Lowell Herbs has been a big advocate for cannabis legalization.
Inspired by the current cannabis prohibition, Lowell Herb Co. came up with a Social Justice program that gives special employment consideration to non-violent pot offenders. The program offers opportunities to persons affected by unjust marijuana law, and at the moment makes up 7% of Lowell’s workforce.
In September, the company is expected to launch a cannabis café called Lowell Farms. This will be the first American restaurant and lounge where people can openly consume cannabis. The café will also serve as a hub for artists and creatives, and accommodate anyone looking to experience pot in a welcoming atmosphere.
Lowell Herb Co. was founded in 2017 and has now grown to one of the leading cannabis companies in California. The company’s signature product – Lowell Smokes – is the leading pre-roll in CA. Currently, Lowell is launching new cannabis products and gearing up for its countrywide expansion plans for 2020.
