Seth Rogen to Throw a Pro-Cannabis Event ‘Hilarity for Charity’ to Raise Alzheimer’s Research Funds
Seth Rogen is hosting a charity carnival for Alzheimer’s research. It will feature comedians running game booths and marijuana will be readily available. All proceeds from the Hilarity for Charity County Fair will go towards the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Rogen launched his own cannabis company in March.
Comedians Adam Devine, Andrew Rannells, Ben Feldman, Casey Wilson, Ilana Glazer, Ike Barinholtz, Jeff Ross, Josh Gad, Kate Micucci, Nick Kroll, Regina Hall and Riki Lindhome will be present at the event. Skateboarder Tony Hawk is also planned to do a halfpipe performance.
It is still unclear as to how cannabis will fit into the performances, but one of the comedians participating noted that the fair will have readily available weed.
Rogen has a passion for combatting Alzheimer’s disease. He became an activist when he witnessed his mother-in-law with early onset Alzheimer’s. He believes that the legalization of marijuana is important in treating a variety of illnesses.
Last year, the federal government asked the public to submit additional scientific research into the potential therapeutic benefits of marijuana in the treatment of the condition.
