Business-focused podcaster, CannaInsider, has recently come up with a system that would help consumers and businesses form healthy relationships amidst the growing CBD and cannabis industry. As per a recent press release, this is thanks to their CBD Transparency Program.
According to the claims made, the CBD Transparency Program rewards companies with a badge that reflects their level of product transparency. The Founder of CannaInsider, Matthew Kind, sees this as an appropriate way to help firms that operate with a positive intent in mind. In particular, he said:
“We feel it’s time that the industry’s many good actors take advantage of an easy way to show the world that they fully stand behind their products.”
Given that a common problem that consumers are faced with is understanding what’s truly inside their CBD goods, such a badge could induce more relief. Who can forget the fact that long-term effects have yet to be studied! Therefore, it becomes even more important that consumers take precautionary measures prior to falling for a product.
Here’s how the CBD Transparency Program works, Businesses are required to submit their product test results The submissions will be scored based on:
- Microbial Contaminants
- Terpene profile
- Residual solvents
- Pesticides, heavy metals and other similar components
- The origin of the source of hemp used
Companies will receive the badge and it is as simple as displaying it onto one’s website
Speaking regarding this system is the Founder of CannaAdvisors and Founding Member of the National Cannabis Industry Association, Diane Czarkowski, who also happens to share the same sentiment as Kind in relation to bringing out good players. She further emphasized that:
“Much of the industrial hemp oil in the marketplace is unsafe […] Some products don’t even contain CBD. I highly encourage all CBD-focused businesses to be completely transparent to consumers about their products.”
