Iconic journalist and author Katie Couric participated in a radio segment with Lite FM, in which she introduced her new podcast called Next Question.
The podcast will delve into various issues, and one of them includes cannabidiol (CBD). In fact, the first episode of the podcast will be titled the ABC’s of CBD. According to the radio segment, Couric shared that she was interested in understanding where CBD comes from, how it differs from THC, and what part of the marijuana plant it is from. And significantly, how do consumers know what they are getting is actually working, or does it work “period.”
Couric shared that she tried several products, she’s spoken to experts, and even had a conversation with Kristin Bell, who uses CBD tinctures and has been open about her anxiety. She further stated that she’s learned a lot. Further, the discussion veered toward the promise of CBD in areas such as opioid addiction – however, the substance needs more research and it is currently unregulated. She further shared:
“It works on your neurotransmitters and apparently reduces anxiety. I tried a lot of products, I talked to experts, and I talked to Kristen Bell who's a regular user of CBD. She uses the tincture which you put under your tongue and she's been very open about her anxiety.”
Segments of Next Question can be listened to on iHeart Radio. There are already several episodes up that cover a range of other topics as well.
