Cannabis and CBD Companies Will Now Be Able to Accept All Major Credit Cards with ViaBill

Published

  • Cannabis companies will no longer be purchasable through the use of Evalon.
  • ViaBill offers a similar service to that of PayPal to cannabis companies.

Accepting payments can be difficult in the cannabis business, which is why many companies were happy to have the support of Evalon. However, as issues arose, the platform decided to stop accepting cannabis-oriented Visa payment, causing issues for sellers. Visa is the largest credit card issuer in the entire world, after all. However, the struggle may be over now with ViaBill, as major companies turn to the payment processor to maintain their everyday operations.

ViaBill is fairly similar to the way that PayPal works. When a customer goes to make a purchase, they are directed to ViaBill to setup an account that they can use for all transactions after. Once the account is set up, they can make a purchase through the ViaBill account, which saves their payment information. The system connects the user with the company’s payment page, and the transaction is done.

This payment processing platform is powered by a payment tech company called ViaBill, and is based in San Francisco, California. This arrangement makes it possible to buy CBD products without the direct use of a major credit card. According to an article by CBD Testers, it looks like this choice could become “the future for cannabis industry payments.”
