Orange Photonics’ LightLab Solves THC Testing Problem Outside The Lab
LightLab by Orange Photonics comes as the only reliable portable tester that can accurately ascertain levels of cannabinoids – including THC – outside a lab. Law enforcement, regulators, and cultivators rely on LightLab to verify cannabis-derived contents.
Detective Alex Poston of Shelby County Sheriff’s narcotics Division noted the long-standing need for law enforcement to figure out ways of determining legal cannabis. Therefore, he termed LightLab as a game-changer as it works in minutes.
With the test, law enforcement can’t apprehend people for possession of cannabis with below 3% THC.
Requiring no technical knowhow, LightLab employs the same methods used in labs. Through both liquid chromatography and spectroscopy, the device can analyze up to eight cannabinoids in dry or wet material, infused products, and concentrates.
Kara Youngblood, Compliance Manager for JKKY Farms, says that with her lack of technical expertise, she picked the analyzer based on peer reviews and research. The device is necessary for her work since she needs to keep track of THC levels of all their batches for compliance purposes.
LightLab features a touchscreen interface that instructs a novice user on how to determine cannabinoid contents within ten minutes. The reliable device has an 8-hour battery life, weighs eleven pounds, and has a rugged make.
