Oprah’s O-List Is All About Pets and CBD Brand Dope Dog Made the List

This is the first time that a CBD product for pets has been featured on the famous O-List.

Dope Dog recently launched a new CBD shampoo for pets to combat inflammation from dry and itchy skin.

Oprah Winfrey is one of the most widely known people in the work with her talk shows, interviews, magazine, and list of her favorite things. Whenever an issue of her magazine comes out with the popular O-List, there are thousands of consumers that go out and purchase these remedies for themselves. The list recently changed up the typical products recommended by Oprah, shifting the attention to pet-themed items. While there were many items that the celebrity is endorsing, the presence of a CBD remedy is a bold move.

According to reports from PR.com, the October 2019 issue of Oprah Magazine shows off the Dope Dog’s product called the Dope Dropper. This dropper offers 500 mg of CBD, which is suspended within MCT coconut oil for a dose that is safe for animals. The Dope Dropper is advertised as helping pet owners to soothe their pet’s separation anxiety, inflammation, and balance, while creating a calm effect.

Dope Dog originally was founded two years ago by a couple that wanted to solve some of the issues that their dogs were dealing with. While there are already CBD products on the market, the owners of the brand were “unsatisfied with the quality and strength.” At that point, they took it upon themselves to develop their own product line, starting with a product called Calming Crunches, says co-founder Michael Benatar. Benatar owns the product like with wife Erin Mastopietro.

The products from Dope Dog are made with small batches, and their Calming Crunchies treat was a hit. These treats are peanut butter biscuits, offering pets 6 mg of CBD in each serving, exceeding the average dose of the industry by 50%. While the pet industry is filled with internationally sourced ingredients, this brand only uses ingredients that are both sourced and created in the United States.

Even though the whole industry is learning more and more about cannabis on a daily basis, there are still many unconfirmed benefits and unknown details about this plant. All of the hemp used in Dope Dog products comes from organic farms in Colorado, from which extracts are made with hydrocarbon and chromatography processes. All of the remedies are free of heavy metals, pesticides, and herbicides. To ensure the quality and purity of the products, all of the Dope Dogs remedies are tested at third-party facilities.

Now, with the attention that Oprah has brought to the company, other companies may see the need to remain competitive in this growing industry. The brand recently launched another remedy – a CBD pet shampoo called Soothing Suds – which helps with the inflammation in dry and itchy skin.

Mastopietro stated, “We are in research and development to expand our topical line, which will allow our customers to administer CBD onto their pet’s skin, coat, and paws in new ways. We expect this to be a game changer because of all the requests we get on this particular topic.”
