NFL Football Champion Rob Gronkowski to Release New CBD Products with CBDMedic, Abacus Health
Rob Gronkowski, a former American football player for the New England Patriots and three-time Super Bowl champion (XLIX, LI, LIII), recently announced his new CBD product line partnership with Abacus Health and CBDMedic. The purpose of the partnership is to introduce a line of hemp-derived cannabidiol extract products focused on pain relief and recovery, which he explained have changed his life.
Gronkowski had to retire from the league die to nine injuries that he had sustained during his career. He stated concerning his post-retirement treatment,
“I immediately made CBDMedic part of my recovery. And now for the first time in more than a decade, I am pain-free. And that is a big deal.”
He continued that the injuries:
“took an absolute beating on my mind and my soul. I was hurt both mentally and physically, day in and day out. I decided to walk away from the game for one reason: I had to recover… I was in tears, in my bed, after a Super Bowl victory…”
For reference, here is one brutal tackle made on him that will make anyone cringe at the site so viewer beware:
Gronk specifically mentioned this play right after after the game, too. Said he could hardly walk.https://t.co/49krysyz01 https://t.co/yQwk1o6AUM

Also adding in these soundbites:
When that time comes down in the future, if I have the desire to play football again, if I feel passionate about football again, if I’m feeling like I need to go back on the field, I will go back to football. But as of right now, that is not the case. It could be the case in six months, it could be the case in two years, it could be the case in three years, it could be the case in three months. But I truly don’t see it in the foreseeable future, in like a week or a month. No. I want to do a different chapter of my life right now”.
He also shared during the press conference that his own experience and results with CBD have led him to plea with professional sports leagues to permit active players to use hemp-based CBD products for their injuries. But it is important to know if you are a professional National Football League player or affiliated with any teams that it may not be in the best interest as of yet.
CBD is still on the NFL’s banned substances list – so Gronk would be facing a suspension if he wanted to return to the Patriots if he’s still using it. https://t.co/igRyAqwwxl

However, when asked whether he will be returning to the NFL, he indicated that he is currently focusing on his health, stating:
“It’s crazy. I understand. I feel that love. But I want to be clear to my fans: I needed to recover. I was not in a good place. Football was bringing me down. And I didn’t like it. And I was losing that joy in life. Like, the joy. I’m sorry right now. But … I really was. And I was fighting through it. And I knew what I signed up for and I knew what I was fighting through, and I knew I just needed to fix myself.”
For now, CBD fans will just have to acknowledge the happy place Gronk, who is now 30 years old, is in, adding “I truly believe I can get to another level with my body, and I’m just in the first stage right now.” And given what happened to Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck recently and his sudden retirement announcement, who knows what the future holds but CBD's brightness just got more visible with the help of Rob Gronkowski.
Whether staying retired or not after completing his ninth season as a tight end with quarterback Tom Brady, where he caught 521 passes for 79 touchdowns and 7,861 yards (also adding 81 catches and 12 touchdowns on 1,163 yards in post-season action) during his Hall of Fame career, he went on to say from now on you can just refer to me as Mr. Recovery!
