Dan Bilzerian’s CBD company, Ignite International, just launched a beverage division.

Ignite Beverages will sell various trendy beverages, including alkaline beverages and, possibly in the future, cannabidiol (CBD) beverages.

The company’s first product is an alkaline water called Alkaline PH9 Water infused with electrolytes and minerals to support hydration. It boasts the tagline of providing superior cellular hydration and is free of BPA/BPS.

Over the coming months, Ignite Beverages is expected to launch a number of innovative drinks inside and outside the water space.

“We’ve set out to be both innovative and disruptive in the beverage category with a diverse offering of premium beverages like nothing that’s ever been done before,” explained Ignite’s President, Curtis Heffernan, in a press release announcing the launch of the beverage.

The beverages will be launched throughout the United States. Expect to see Alkaline PH9 Water superior cellular hydration drink in convenience stores, supermarkets, CBD retailers, and other outlets.

Alkaline PH9 Water aims to capitalize on the recent hype surrounding alkaline water. Some supporters claim alkaline water can slow the aging process, regulate your body’s pH levels, and prevent certain chronic diseases – even cancer.

The “alkalinity” of water refers to its pH level. pH level measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on the pH scale. The scale goes from 0 to 14. Normal drinking water has a neutral pH of 7, while alkaline water has a pH of 8 or 9 or higher.

There’s some evidence that alkaline water is linked with certain health benefits. This 2012 study, for example, found that alkaline water with a pH water of 8.8 could reduce the risk of acid reflux. Another study suggested that alkaline water could reduce the risk of high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol.

Overall, however, there’s a lack of proven evidence suggesting that water with a certain pH level can have any significant impact on your health.

CBD, of course, is another story: by combining CBD and alkaline water together, Ignite Beverages may be capitalizing on two significant health trends at the same time.

Ignite International is a publicly-listed company (CSE:BILZ, OTCQX: BILZF) operating throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. The cannabis and CBD company has products across multiple categories.

Shares of Ignite International skyrocketed on the news. BILZ (listed on Canadian stock exchange CSE) closed on January 20 at $1.56 per share, up 12.23% of the day.

The story was different south of the border, however, as BILZF (listed on America’s QX), was down 0.86% to $1.04.

Meanwhile, on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Ignite’s Germany-listed shares closed the day at $0.91, up 2.25%.

Those share prices may sound good, but Dan Bilzerian’s stock has been plummeting over the last six months. The share price entered a downward spiral in October 2019, descending 40% from October 1, 2019 to date until today’s rally.

However, with the cannabis sector heating up – particularly in the CBD beverage space – the launch of Ignite Beverages could be a turning point for Dan Bilzerian’s Ignite International.

Dan Bilzerian is a public figure and social media celebrity who got his start thanks to his father’s trust fund. Bilzerian’s father has been described as a “corporate raider and felon” who was slapped with $62 million in fines by the SEC in the 1990s. Today, Bilzerian continues to enjoy the benefits of that trust fund, although the fund has reportedly lost 30% of its value due to the SEC penalties.

Bilzerian has a carefully crafted public persona. His Instagram account and other social media profiles are filled with guns, women, and other classic images of toughness. He’s an actor, entrepreneur, poker player, and Instagram star.

In 2016, Bilzerian founded a cannabis and CBS company called Ignite International, described as the “world’s first premium global cannabis company” and a “high-end, global cannabis brand committed to bringing the best cannabis, THC, and CBD products” to the market. The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada.
