Canopy Growth, BioSteel Debut CBD Product Line and Partner with Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center

CBD company Canopy Growth and health sports brand BioSteel have together launched a new line of products that includes sports formulas, hydration mixes, protein powders, and even a sugar-free protein gum.

Mark Zekulin, the then CEO of Canopy Growth stated that BioSteel has a reputation for being “best-in-class” in its provision of natural sports nutrition formulas, and the formulas are well positioned to benefit from the upward trend of plant-based and natural products. Further, Michael Cammalleri, the co-founder of BioSteel indicated athletes are looking for healthier alternatives in light of the negative effects of prescription painkillers.

The Brooklyn Nets NBA basketball team have officially announced BioSteel Sports Nutrition as the The Official Sports Drink for their home arena, the Barclays Center. This is the company’s first professional US sports team partnership and is a multi-year agreement that will showcase its new product line all over the stadium at Nets home games.
