Charlotte’s Web manufacturing operations in Boulder, Colorado just got added to the NSF International dietary supplement list. The cannabidiol (CBD) oriented manufacturer is now formerly registered under the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) which basically shows that the firm is well equipped and follows proper procedures in producing dietary supplements.
According to the announcement made on Feb 14, Charlotte’s Web attainment of the NSF GMP certification is a plus for the company going forward. This is because the US Drug and Food Administration who oversee legalities on distribution, packaging and manufacturing of diet supplements recognized Charlotte’s Web under (FDA) 21 CFR part 111.
Deanie Elsner, Charlotte’s Web CEO, noted that their commitment to attain proper certifications were mainly a result of the trust earned by the company’s stakeholders’ and regulatory authorities over time. She also highlighted the strategic opportunity for Charlotte’s Web given this milestone;
“The registration is important for supporting certain potential new business partnerships. As industry leaders, attaining NSF GMP certification marks another important milestone for Charlotte’s Web and we look forward to prominently displaying our new NSF certificate at our manufacturing facility in Boulder.”
NSF International continues protect consumers based on its decades of expertise in the tests and certification of consumer products. The organization has been quite active as more players join the exponentially growing hemp industry in the United States. However, Charlotte’s Web received a warm welcome from NSF’s Global Business Director, David Trosin;
“We’re very pleased to grant NSF GMP registration to this Charlotte’s Web manufacturing facility.”
