Purity Organic and Kadenwood to Release CBD Foods, Drinks and Beauty Products
Purity Organic and Kadenwood, the CBD supplier, have closed a partnership in which they have agreed to produce and launch CBD-infused beverages, food, pet and personal care products. Aside from providing hemp and hemp seeds for consumers, Kadenwood has its own line of athletic recovery CBD topicals that are being promoted by many professional athletes like Carson Palmer, the NFL quarterback, and Steve Garvey, the MLB superstar. As the agreement with Purity Organic states, Kadenwood will control the CBD-infused Purity Organic products’ use, whereas Purity’s portfolio of non-infused merchandise will function as a standalone.
What Will Purity Sell?
Purity Organic was founded back in 2004 and produces tea, juice, flavored sparkling water, plus coconut water. The product is will launch with Kadenwood is going to be a CBD-infused tea containing 15 mg of CBD per bag. The varieties of the tea are: Sleep made from chamomile, Focus made from green tea, Revive or Earl Grey and an English Breakfast Tea. Each box of tea will contain 18 bags and cost $24.99. Here’s what the CEO of Purity Organic, Douglas Abrams, had to say about how the new CBD products are going to be leveraged:
“Across food, beverage, personal care and pet care, there’s a movement towards cleaner and cleaner ingredients. We really like the Purity trademark entering the CBD space for that reason. We believe it’s very telegraphic in terms of the purity of all the ingredients, including the high quality that Kadenwood brings. It helps consumers make a choice that they may be otherwise still confused about as they are learning about the CBD category.”
Purity Is Going Through Many Changes
The news of the CBD Hot Teas launch comes while Purity is going through some important structural changes. For example, at the end of last year, it has appointed Mary Page Platerink as a new CEO for when after Abrams resigns, all while purchasing the Dunn’s River Brands with the Sweet Leaf and Tradewinds labels from Fireman Capital, in January. Kadenwood has a well-established reputation on the cannabis and hemp market. According to its CEO and co-founder Erick Dickens, the innovations made with Purity will help more with credentials. Here are Dickens’ exact words on the matter:
“We felt like what we are doing is capturing or piggybacking off a brand that has a 20-plus-year history of being purchased by consumers who are on the cutting edge of organic, clean living. We are taking those more progressive consumers and bringing them CBD. We see this as a way to rapidly start and accelerate our launch with consumers who are already interested in what our brand is doing next.”
