When it became clear to them that they could not find what they were looking for in the industry, they decided to go into business themselves. Their main interest was finding a company that adhered to high standards for testing, consistency, and quality. After making the decision to go into business, they also made the conscious decision to try and do things differently than other companies.

Many companies present in the industry at the time were run and managed by people who had gone back to class to try and learn about science. Naternal founders chose to follow a different path.
