MUHU is set to be the first UK CBD-infused gin. The British start-up responsible for the brand intends to target millennials with the sweet hibiscus flavored gin.

Sally Wynter, the brand’s founder, explained that it took the company myriads of trials before they got the perfect concoction with additional excitement from CBD.

The start-up intends to make use of natural trending products and create more spirits within the next few years. Sally Wynter says that she came up with the idea of the gin to fill the gap left by a lack of innovation in the gin market, despite the exploitation of various flavors and colors. MUHU is a deviation from the traditional provenance-based brands.

In a press release, the start-up made it clear that it only uses flavorless and colorless CBD from pesticide and chemical-free hemp sourced from Canada.

Miss Wynter says that she has been using CBD in her cocktails for a year to relax her body and mind. She adds that she has also been using CBD capsules to ease morning hangovers.

According to studies, CBD could affect 5-HTIA receptors, which control serotonin (a neurotransmitter responsible for mood balance) in the body.
