‘Goop of Cannabis’ Company Miss Grass Secures Big Investment of $4 Million to Launch Product Line
Online magazine Miss Grass has raised $4 million for the launch of its in-house cannabis brand. The magazine has already reached success due to its content and e-commerce features that have consumers hooked.
Kate Miller and Anna Duckworth founded Miss Grass. According to Listen Ventures is but one of the investors. It’s founder, Jess Cantalupo shared with Forbes,
“Kate and Anna’s brand lives at the intersection of two cultural movements: female empowerment and plant-based wellness. Moreover, with their genuine approach based in trust and clarity, they’ve created the definitive voice that’s leading the modern female consumer on her journey with the cannabis plant.”
Miss Grass has had success in developing an online community, partnering with mainstream brands, and now it may be well on its way to even more success with its new CBD offerings. According to Anna Duckworth, the brand’s co-founder.
“What makes Miss Grass different is that we’re not trying to sanitize cannabis beyond recognition,” She added, “So many brands have hitched their wagon to the CBD star and called it a day. While CBD is a powerful ingredient, Miss Grass wants to normalize weed as a whole—which is incredibly important when we talk about access and issues of social equity in this industry.”
Casa Verde’s managing partner, Karen Wadhera, another investor, also stated,
“We have been great admirers of the work Kate, Anna, and the entire Miss Grass team have accomplished from the beginning.” She added “We see Miss Grass as a destination for women, and we’re excited to continue supporting their mission.”
