CannaCloud: Pod-Based Cannabis Vaporizer System?

Published

on

CannaCloud

CannaCloud is a new marijuana delivery system that’s being called Keurig for cannabis. It promises to provide a consistent, quality experience every time. Here’s our review.

What is CannaCloud?

CannaCloud is a vaporizer that uses proprietary technology to deliver a consistent, quality experience every time. It’s been called the Keurig for marijuana because it uses pre-measured, nitrogen-purged, sealed pods that look similar to Keurig pods.

You place the pods into the machine, activate the machine, and then you’re ready to use the vaporizer in just 60 seconds.

The pods will be sold wherever cannabis is legal. All pods contain high-quality cannabis that’s lab-tested and grown by certified cultivators who meet high processing standards.

The CannaCloud is made by CannaKorp. It’s the world’s first single-use, pod-based cannabis vaporizer system. The device is targeted towards medical marijuana users as well as those in states where recreational marijuana use is legal.

The CannaCloud has not yet hit the market. However, it’s expected to be available in early 2017 in “authorized markets”.

How Does CannaCloud Work?

CannaCloud works using proprietary vaporizer technology to extract the core components of marijuana. The pods themselves contain flowers – not de-natured extracts.

The CannaCloudCups or CannaCups, as they’re known, contain a variety of different strains, including sativa, indica, and hybrid strains as well as CBD-only strains (which provide many of the purported health benefits of marijuana with none of the psychoactive effects caused by THC).

To use the CannaCloud, you remove the top of the device from the base, insert a pod into a slot at the bottom, place the top back into the base, then press the button to activate. A display on the front of the vaporizer counts down until the vaporizer is ready to use.

Then, you remove the top from the base once more, and vapor is released from the top valve. Within 60 seconds of activating the machine, you’ll be able to get a full dose.

The pods use a consistent dose across every serving. Each pod contains pre-ground, lab-tested cannabis.

Meanwhile, the vaporizer has a one-way valve that can be removed for easy cleaning. All you do is put it into the dishwasher.

You can also buy an automated processing and filling machine called the CannaMatic to make your own CannaCups. The CannaMatic is targeted towards marijuana growers and others in the industry who want to create their own cups for the CannaCloud machine. The automated device allows authorized processors to fill, seal, and label CannaCups in an environmentally-efficient way. They can also establish their own branding on the label.

CannaCloud Pricing

The CannaCloud is expected to retail at a price of $149, while the individual CannaCups will be priced at $9.99 for 0.4 grams of marijuana.

We don’t have any final pricing details at the moment, and we likely won’t until the device is fully released in early 2017 – so the prices above might not be the final release price.

About CannaKorp

CannaKorp is a Massachusetts-based tech startup company that aims to simplify, improve, and standardize the smoking experience for medical marijuana users. They announced their core product, the CannaCloud, late in 2015. The CannaCloud is the world’s first single-use pod and vaporizer system.

You can get in touch with the company by phone at 781-435-1812 or by email at info@cannakorp.com.

The company’s About page describes how it’s led by “a highly experienced, cohesive team of executives with a track record of success, and is backed by experts in the field.”

Chairman of the company Dave Manly was one of the senior executives at Keurig/Green Mountain while that company revolutionized the coffee brewing experience in North America.

In other words, there’s a reason why the CannaCloud bears a resemblance to the Keurig machine.

When Will the CannaCloud Be Released?

The CannaCloud will be released in authorized markets in early 2017.

You can preorder the devices now using the preorder form found here. Using that preorder form, you’re encouraged to let the company know which retailers and dispensaries should carry the products (or, if you own a retailer or dispensary, you can request to have the products in your store).

You can also follow the company on Facebook, Twitter, or their official website for more information as the product gets closer towards launching.
