Urban Juve is a company based in Canada.  It explains on its website that it “makes natural wellness products infused with hemp.” To do so, it claims that it draws from Ayurvedic teachings and cutting-edge science to develop its formulations. It explains that Ayurvedia is “one of the oldest holistic healing systems in the world” and that its products “are formulated by an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner and clinical researcher. Each is designed to meet the nutritional needs of the skin.”

Hemp Seed and Hemp Root Oils

According to the brand's website, it uses “hemp seed and hemp root oils” in its skincare products. It explains that these ingredients are made “from cannabis plants, both are packed with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. (They’re also legal in North America, and have no psychotropic effects.).” Further, it indicates that hemp root oil has been used in Ayurvedic medicine “for thousands of years” and that it may provide users with several skincare qualities. As for hemp seed oil, it claims that it “historically been used to treat psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis” and similarly, that it may provide users with several skincare qualities.

As for its ingredients, Urban Juve's website explains that it uses the “highest quality natural ingredients,” including full spectrum essential oils, pure botanical extracts, high quality hemp derivatives, and that all products are cruelty free. In addition, it claims to avoid “all toxic fillers and unpronounceable chemicals,” including but not limited to: parabens, mineral oil, dyes, artificial fragrance, sulfates, and triclorcarbon.

Lab Testing

Lab testing is designed to provide information including the potency and purity of a product. Urban Juve explains on its website that it does “extensive stability and microbial testing before our products are produced at our lab in British Columbia, Canada.”

Urban Juve's Skin Awakening Serum is described on its product webpage as “Restore and hydrate with hemp oil and hyaluronic acid” and that “This potent serum is like an alarm clock for tired skin, revitalizing and nourishing for a radiant, youthful glow.” The formula appears to feature antioxidants, including carrot seed oil, and sea buckthorn oil.  In addition, the “need to know” section on the product webpage indicates information including that it is in sustainable packaging, is made in Canada, and is cruelty-free. The product comes in a 30ml container, which is a glass bottle with a dropper. The product webpage provides information on how to use the product.

Urban Juve Ultra-Hydrating Lip Balm

Urban Juve Lip Balm is described on its product webpage as an “all-season balm softens and smooths chapped, rough lips.” Further, it explains that the lip balm a blend of beeswax, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, and hemp root oil, and that users should expect a “cool, refreshing feel.” The “need to know” section is similar to that of the Skin Awakening Serum.

Skin Calming Face and Body Mist

Urban Juve Skin Calming Face and Body Mist is described on its product webpage as “Replenish and renew with hemp oil & tea tree water.” A few of the ingredients identified on the product webpage include tea tree leaf oil, witch hazel, green tea leaf extract, hemp seed oil, cinnamon bark oil, grapefruit seed extract, and cardamom seed oil. In addition, the “need to know” section on the product webpage is similar to that of the other products listed. The product webpage also provides information on how to use the product.
