The Global Cannabis Research Summit to Stream Online August 12

The Global Cannabis Research Summit is scheduled for August 12. The summit will be streamed online at  cannabisresearchsummit.com and will feature Dr. Sue Sisley as the keynote speaker. Sisley will give an update concerning the legal efforts to allow cannabis research. She will also present her findings on the impact of medical cannabis on patients diagnosed with PSTD.

According to Keith Bisogno, who is the event chair, The Global Cannabis Research Summit's main aim is to advance cannabinoid research through science. He insists that the science community is welcome to join the summit. The event which will run for more than five hours will feature top speakers who will share their findings on cannabinoid research and the outcome of their clinical trials.

Dr. Sue Sisley

Dr. Sisley, principal investigator of Scottsdale Research Institute (SRI). Serving as president for Arizona-based physician practicing internal medicine, Dr. Sisley, an innovator in the research of cannabis, has been working for over 14 years towards the FDA drug development process, in favor of the cannabis flower, and confronted with opposition nearly every step of the way.

Will present the topic “The Future of Precision Cannabinoid Therapeutics.” He is the CEO of EndoCanna and will explain how genomic testing and analysis have different outcomes on individuals with different genotype profiles.

Dr. Nethaji Gallage

Dr. Nethaji Gallage is the CEO of Octarine. Her topic, “Harnessing Synthetic Biology to Deliver Targeted Cannabinoids,” will reveal how a biosynthetic platform can produce natural molecules with improved therapeutic properties.

Dr. Anne Ladegaard Skov

Dr. Anne will share how the team from Danish Startup Silease developed new cannabis patches. She will also talk about the new topical technology meant to provide continuous and precise dosing for longer periods.

According to the co-producer of the event, Ronnye Schreiber, they are happy that this upcoming event will involve online users worldwide. Ronnye, who is also the CEO of PlanetConnect, adds that there will be polls and a question and answer session.
