Cannafornia Inc., a California-based wellness CBD company, announced the launch of the Cannafornia Fight Team. The company is partnering with both male and female professional athletes to promote their wellness CBD products. Cannafornia Fight Team is a group of professional MMA fighters working closely as partners with California Inc.
Initially, the company had partnered with Colby Covington “Chaos”, a UFC welterweight champion. Cannafornia Inc. has announced that it will be adding five more professional fighters to the company’s lineup of athletes. Those joining Cannafornia CBD Fight Team include; heavyweight Derrick Lewis (The Black Beast), strawweight Anna Maria Verbeek (Fight Queen), middleweight Jared Cannonier (The Killa Gorilla), bantamweight Isaac Thomson (Ice Cold), and heavyweight Jairzinho Rozenstruik (Bigi Boy).
According to Paul King, Founder, and CEO of Cannafornia, the partnership with the athletes is a move to connect with health-conscious CBD consumers and deepening the company’s engagements within professional sports.
“Cannafornia’s new product line of organically grown, THC and pesticide-free cannabinoid products are developed specifically for athletes and people who play and train hard and who are interested in enhancing their health wellness using CBD rather than pills,” he said.
All the athletes in the Cannafornia CBD Fight Team will have full access to Cannafornia’s product portfolio of CBD balms, edibles, tinctures, and capsules that will help them enhance their daily demanding training and recovery routines. The company has invested in UFC with the aim of understanding CBD’s efficacy in the management of pain and recovery of fighters after fights and relentless training routines. UFC announces an eight years partnership to advance research on the connection between MMA athlete recovery and wellness, and cannabis-extracted CBD wellness products.
“Canafornia’s tinctures and balm are my edge in getting through the most grueling and relentless workouts and leaves me fit to wake up and repeat the routine all over again all year long. We train the entire year on a tight schedule, and we cannot afford downtime or injuries when preparing for fights. CBD is the game-changer for athletes,” said Derrick Lewis, one of the added fighters.
Two of the partners, Derrick Lewis and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, participated in the 500th UFC 244 live event last weekend on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Coby Covington will participate in UFC 245 December 14, 2019, in Las Vegas.
