O2 to Debut New Hemp CBD-Enhanced Oxygenated Post-Workout Recovery Drinks

  • The product line, O2+ Hemp CBD, will be launched at the 2019 Natural Products Expo.
  • Each 12-ounce can will be priced at $3.99.

Many people know the brand O2 for their post-workout recovery drinks. However, the company clearly is interested in the new opportunities of the 2018 Farm Bill, which made hemp legal. While the framework for using hemp-derived CBD is still up for debate in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), O2 just announced that they will soon be debuting a new product at the 2019 Natural Products Expo – O2+ Hemp CBD.

O2+ Hemp CBD is small still, but it includes a few CBD-infused beverages. At the moment, the company has developed two flavors for public consumption, which are Pomegranate Guava and Caffeine-Free Peach Pear. Each drink will contain 10 milligrams of broad-spectrum hemp extract, allowing consumers to get the combined benefits of electrolytes, oxygen, and CBD in a single can. With the new product like, athletes will be able to speed up their recovery, and will be able to spend less time resting and healing.

Dave Colina, the founder and CEO of O2, stated that the brand feels “proud” to be the first company to offer an oxygenated sports drink with CBD for recovery. He added,

“Our top athletes and our own team members are already seeing great benefits from using CBD, and now we’ve made it more accessible and convenient in a recovery drink different from anything else available today. O2+ Hemp CBD is another step toward our mission of helping to make recovery an easy part of a daily fitness routine.”

All of the beverages that are currently in and will come from the new line will be THC free, and they also contain seven times the oxygen that water holds. The remedies are easy to integrate into any post-workout routine, regardless of the time of day, and it only holds a single gram of organic sugar. While the Peach Pear version has no caffeine, the Pomegranate Guava drink includes 100mg of natural caffeine, which means that consumers can enjoy the energy without the crash.

Consumers will be able to purchase the O2+ Hemp CBD in October from drinko2.com, where it will be listed for $3.99 per 12-ounce can. Presently, the main Sports Recovery Drinks from O2 can be found in over 50 Whole Foods Market stores and over 400 Kroger stores across the country. Their core line of products can even be found for purchase in CrossFit gyms.
