Global Cannabinoids Research: Hemp CBD Skincare Products Demand is Soaring Over Oral Use

  • Consumers want more CBD skincare products, according to data by Global Cannabinoids.
  • CBD e-liquids follow skincare remedies in demand from consumers.

The research surrounding the use of CBD as a pain reliever is growing, but consumers of this substance appear to be looking for a different use case. As celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian come out with skincare remedies that use CBD as one of the main ingredients, and wholesale demand for these remedies goes up by 20%, the desires of the public couldn’t be more clear – it’s time to research CBD as a skincare ingredient more thoroughly.

In a press release from PR Newswire, Global Cannabinoids researched this demand, finding also that the interest in this use case has grown substantially since the Farm Bill passed. Ryan Lewis, the Chief Business Developer of the company, stated that the demand from consumers to accumulate more skincare solutions with CBD is stimulating “explosive growth.”

Lewis added,

“The healing properties of cannabidiol (CBD) skincare is full of moisturizing anti-oxidants, minerals and protein that help with anti-aging, acne-prone skin, sensitive skin and has been shown to be anti-inflammatory for those suffering from dry skin, eczema and psoriasis.”

Global Cannabinoids provides a substantial selection of products with CBD, though none of the remedies include THC.

The most recent data collected by Global Cannabinoids indicates that the leading category for businesses that are working to add CBD into their products is in topical skincare treatments. However, the report indicated that the likely cause of this influx is due to the desire by consumers to use CBD products topically, rather than having to ingest them orally.

Following behind skincare treatments is CBD for vaping or as an e-liquid as the second-most requested product. CBD tinctures follow behind at third, while CBD edibles comes in fourth, and CBD/Hemp cigarettes and CBD patches tie for the fifth place.
