Edible CBD-Infused Tacos Make Their Way to Catch The Wave Food Truck in San Antonio

The Farm Bill last year made hemp-based CBD a legal product, and there’s plenty of companies capitalizing on this substance. In Texas, reports from 92.9 Nin show that the remedy is already finding its way into foods locally, as one food truck has made it possible to get the benefits of the substance in a taco.

 

Catch the Wave, a local food truck in San Antonio, Texas, debuted their new tacos this week, which include CBD oil inside the corn tortilla. Owner Leo Davila explained that the food truck already offers a blue corn tortilla, but his business “wanted to do it a little different.” He commented that this change makes it possible to still be “the same great taco with a little bit of added benefit to it,” and that he has personally used CBD products for over a year, improving his life.

Along with the tacos, Davila said that he’s infused lemonade and some jams with CBD oil, which could still be controversial in the state for anti-cannabis consumers in Texas. However, locals and tourists should remember that CBD doesn’t have the psychoactive effect that THC does, making it legal and beneficial for consumers that try these products.
