Steroids are a common way to treat 100+ diseases related to chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. However, the founders of Talent Biotechs have taken a chance on the exit of a cannabis-based drug company, introducing their new startup called STERO Biotechs. With millions of people have been on high doses or longtime use of steroids, the side effects can’t be ignored.

Biotech treatment options may be helpful for many of these circumstances, but the high price makes these options less attractive, and STERO Biotech CBD wants to help. Dr. Sari Prutchi Sagiv, the CSO of STERO Biotechs, stated.

Israel is a leader in the research of cannabis, and researchers in this country were responsible for isolating THC in marijuana. However, the progress has evolved substantially since then, and the Israel Ministry of Health has been working to establish regulation amongst the 22 clinical trials that have that are going on.

STERO Biotechs Ltd. was originally founded in 2017 with a headquarters in Israel. The company is committed to researching and developing drugs with CBD in an effort to offer steroid-sparing therapy that could help millions of patients. The majority of the therapies could help with inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, but without the addictive nature of steroids.

The company that exited the industry was Talent Biotechs, and former leaders David Bassa, Dr. Moshe Yeshurun, and Dr. Sari Prutchi Sagiv all founded STERO Biotechs together. Talent Biotechs was one of the few companies that have been working on cannabis-based, FDA-oriented clinical trials for drug development since 2011. The preliminary results from STERO Biotech stem from the findings of the founders while still at Talent.
