New CBD Company Kaleidoscope Labs Secures $4 Million to Build Cannabidiol Wellness Brand

Kaleidoscope Labs, a CBD and wellness brand, launched on July 1^st and has already raised $4 million in the seed round to support their goal of expansion. One of the main investors was RRE Ventures along with Barry Rosenstein of JANA Partners. Kaleidoscope seeks to fill a gap in the market by offering a semi-customizable CBD-based capsule which will increase to the bioavailability of the CBD and other ingredients. They will offer five formulations (Wake, Sleep, Soothe, Glow, and Boost) for users to stack, mix, or combine. Consumers will fill-out an online survey for which a customized product is then recommended. The design also ensures an even amount of CBD in each capsule. The formulations can be used throughout the day systematically and incrementally. Their pricing begins at $75 per month.

What is unique is that the CBD is in fact a capsule within another capsule which allows it to pass through the first stage of digestion which provides for greater absorption and long-term efficacy. They envision the product to be taken as an everyday supplement for better physical and mental health. Kaleidoscope was born out of a vision to tailor the dosage and combined ingredients to meet the needs of the consumers. The funds raised will not only propel their expansion but will help them to further develop the product and fund their non-profit foundation that provides grants in the cannabis industry. In addition to their personalized capsules, they wish to offer subscriptions as well as other wellness products to their customers.
