CBDfx to Launch CBD-Infused Protein Hemp Cookie That’s Broad Spectrum and Vegan Friendly

  • The cookie offers hemp-based protein in an entirely vegan recipe.
  • The cookie will be available in Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Chip.

While there’s still some questions about what the Food and Drug Administration will allow the CBD industry to put in foods and supplements, CBDfx is clearly ahead of the game. According to a report from Stack3D, the company has already been working on their latest edible product, which uses broad-spectrum hemp extract to give it a little extra “oomph.” What is this new product? A cookie!

CBD is hardly new to consumer products. Along with being offered as a simple oil, CBD has already been found in face masks, shots, topical treatments, and even tinctures. However, the only reason that it hasn’t been an ingredient in food and supplements before now is due to the FDA’s lack of regulations on the matter.

This new cookie, which is simply being called the Protein Hemp Cookie, includes a total of 13 grams of protein per serving. It also includes 50 grams of carbohydrates (including 28 grams of sugar) and 12 grams of fat, amounting to a total of 360 calories. The nutritional details don’t actually vary much between the three upcoming flavors, which include Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Chip. The latter is the only one of the cookies that seems to vary slightly, offering two more grams of sugar than the other two options.

Though the cookie has no dairy or soy ingredients, all of the flavors are vegan friendly and contain 20 mg of CBD. Unfortunately, this cookie isn’t quite available for the masses to purchase, it will soon be sold through the online store. In the meantime, consumers can get their CBD fix with one of the other edible products on the website, like gummy bears or sublingual strips.
