CBD company Canopy Growth and health sports brand BioSteel have together launched a new line of products that includes sports formulas, hydration mixes, protein powders, and even a sugar-free protein gum.
Mark Zekulin, the then CEO of Canopy Growth stated that BioSteel has a reputation for being “best-in-class” in its provision of natural sports nutrition formulas, and the formulas are well positioned to benefit from the upward trend of plant-based and natural products. Further, Michael Cammalleri, the co-founder of BioSteel indicated athletes are looking for healthier alternatives in light of the negative effects of prescription painkillers.

BioSteel CBD Isolate Protein Powder, which comes in both chocolate and vanilla flavors, is a blend of three quality whey protein sources and 20 mg of CBD isolate per serving. The product is designed to provide support for muscle repair.
BioSteel CBD for Sport Plant Based Protein, which comes in both chocolate and vanilla flavors, is a plant-based protein powder that is infused with 20 mg of CBD isolate per serving. The formula is designed to support muscle repair, and it is 100% vegan friendly and gluten free.
BioSteel CBD for Sport Collagen is a dual-source collagen powder infused with 10mg of CBD isolate per serving. The formula is designed to support joint health. Every 10g serving of the formula features a 1:1 ratio of marine to bovine collagen. It is not a flavored formula, and it dissolves into beverages for easy consumption.
