Young Living Essential Oils, a Utah-based MLM company, recently announced the acquisition of Nature’s Ultra, a Colorado-based company that has over 1,500 acres of hemp farms in its state. Though Nature’s Ultra will continue to operate independently, it shows Young Living Essential’s move to dominate the market.
A direct competitor of Young Living Essential Oils is doTERRA. The company describes itself on its website as “an essential oil company changing the world one drop at a time.” According to a Consumer Reports article, Young Living and DoTERRA are the largest multi-level-marketing companies.
By acquiring Nature’s Ultra, perhaps Young Living Essential Oils has gotten a step ahead, and is asserting its dominance over the Utah market. Further, doTERRA has not yet launched a CBD oil.
