Weekend Acquires Verve Beverage Company (VBC), Shares VBC’s CHAMP CBD Drink US Expansion Plans

Poised to become a leader within the cannabis industry, Weekend Unlimited has officially announced its acquisition of Verve Beverage Company (VBC). The firm first noted of said plans back in November 2018, and has made it official on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

As per the CEO and President of Weekend Unlimited, Paul Chu, the decision was unavoidable – especially considering the immense growth and name VBC has earned for itself. In particular, he celebrated the fact that the addition of Verve to their firm will allow for Weekend Unlimited to provide THC and CBD-related products across the U.S; wherever both are deemed legal that is. He seems to be confident of what Verve has to offer, considering his claims that,

“This distribution network will allow us to grow and manage indirect channel and big box placements nationwide for multiple brands in our portfolio.”

The President of VBC, Bradley Robb has since shared his viewpoint on how far VBC has come. As per his claims, Verve has since made over USD$236 million from sales alone, adding that their ownership of exclusive distribution license allows them to offer goods not only in the US, but also across Canada and Mexico.

Other factors that make Weekend Unlimited’s acquisition praiseworthy is VBC’s line, CHAMP, which serves as an energy drink brand infused with cannabidiol (CBD). Given its medicinal properties and highlighted health benefits, this brand too can expect to expand over the course of time. Interestingly, Robb has affirmed that CHAMP is recognized as, “the official energy drink of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks,” which alone is attention-grabbing. He also added that the target population for this said line is that of the California.
