The USDA Lists Sunsoil As A Certified Organic Producer of Full-Spectrum CBD Oils

USDA is the regulatory body that ensures manufacturers meet the standards of production from farming, processing, and that they use organic ingredients. Once the products have met the set standards, they are labeled with the USDA Organic Seal.

Sunsoil is one of the leading CBD brands in the United States, and according to SPINS data, the company was approved as an organic producer by USDA. The majority of the company’s products will have an organic seal starting from February 2020. According to Sunsoil, the only products that were not certified as organic are the 20mg and 10mg softgels, although they are made from organic ingredients.

USDA’s organic seal is the highest quality standard label, and the process of certification requires that hemp farming without the use of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, GMOs, nor crop rotation. The standard regulation body sees to it that manufacturers of all consumer goods adhere to the standards in farming, processing, and use of natural ingredients.

Leveraging the USDA organic seal means that Sunsoil is committed to manufacturing high-quality CBD products. The Vice President of Agriculture and Co-founder of Sunsoil, Jacob Goldstein said,

“The company is working towards elevating our farming and manufacturing processes. We are proud to be launching the USDA Organic Seal in our product portfolio as it shows our commitment to the integrity of our farms and products.”

The company’s organic hemp was certified in early 2019 by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). Sunsoil’s production process is now certified as organic from the seed to the final product on the shelves.

All the company’s products are third-party lab tested by the Independent Standard Organization (ISO) labs. Multiple elements of the production process are also tested, starting from the soil, which is tested for the absence of heavy metals and the presence of nutrients. The director of operations, Russ Scheller said,

“Sunsoil is setting the quality standard and transparency in the CBD industry. We farm and process organically, and our manufacturing facilities are GMP compliant. The third-party lab test results are made available to our consumers through a QR code on each product.”

Sunsoil products featuring the USDA Organic Seal include the CBD Oil Drops- Cinnamon, citrus, chocolate mint, and unflavored. Sunsoil CBD Coconut Oil and the Peppermint CBD Oil Spray also features the organic seal.
