According to a report by Yahoo! Finance, the Thai government will be permitting hemp in herbal products, food, and cosmetics. According to the reprot, ” Thailand's Public Health Ministry announced that seeds and oils extracted from hemp would be removed from its list of controlled substances, i.e., Category 5 of the Narcotics Act.”
Tares Krassanairawiwong, the country’s secretary general of Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration shared with reporters, “The intention is to allow extracts to be used in medicine, cosmetics, and food and support hemp as a cash crop.”
