Sunsoil CBD Oil Maker Aims to Up its USDA-Certified Organic Hemp Production to 100,000 Kilos in 2020

On Thursday, Sunsoil, a CBD production company, announced that it would increase its USDA certified organic hemp production to 100,000 kilos for the 2020 growing season, outpacing this year’s production of roughly 35,000 kilos.

The company’s increased production projections directly result from increased retail partnerships, with its products expected to available for sale in more than 1,500 retail locations before 2019 ends.

To meet the increased retail demand, Sunsoil is in the final stages of acquiring extra farmland in Vermont.

Making the announcement, the Co-Founder and CEO of Sunsoil Alejandro Bergad said with the increased CBD oil products’ demand, customers and retailers are recognizing that CBD products are not equal, and now want assurance that what they are ingesting consistently meets high quality and purity standards. This is the reason why Sunsoil has taken adequate steps to make sure that their hemp is both USDA certified and that their processing facilities are certified organic.

Sunsoil received an investment of $7 million in November 2018 from One Better Ventures, which the company has leveraged to get additional acreage and build another processing center to accommodate new demand.

Bergad went on to say that scaling operations to accommodate increasing demand has been the company’s initiative throughout 2019. Sunsoil has so far built a new organic certified facility to accommodate as much as 800,000 pounds per year and sustain its organic best practices.

According to Bergad, the land, facility, and a new team of talented members gives Sunsoil the right tools to continue scaling their operations and meeting the growing organic CBD products’ demand.
