New Quicksilver Scientific CBD Product Line Offers Liposomal Delivery System

While there are many consumers that appreciate the effectiveness of CBD in their daily life, the bioavailability has come into question for digestible products. Quicksilver Scientific, a company based in Colorado, has decided to develop a product line with their proprietary liposomal delivery system, improving their bioavailability. The concentrated products are meant for detoxification, formulated as a result of work by founder Christopher Shade.

The mercury detoxification protocol develop is based on the natural glutathione pathway of the body. The cellulate antioxidant led the founder to examine more advanced delivery modes, like liposomes, which can boost the absorption of different compounds, which is especially helpful for CBD. After investigating the liposomes that are already available on the market, Shade ultimately decided to go on his own path.

He stated, “I first worked with other companies that were making liposomes and I found that they were not living up to their claims. I dove into that and developed my own methods, and now we use pharmaceutical-type processes at our plant in Lafayette.”

Based on the substantial success of the delivery system, there are many supplements created by the company that can be marketed with it. Other ingredients include B vitamins, CoQ10, and vitamin C.

Right now, the focus of Shade is on increasing the bioavailability of a three-product line, offering “full-spectrum hemp extract” that offers CBD and “a Farm Bill-compliant level of THC,” which helps the user to regulate their body. The product line, known as CBD Synergies, includes a formula with curcumin, black pepper extract, and Boswellia serrata extract for “relief.” There are also remedies for sleep and for calming effects. The CBD dose in these formulas range from 10 mg to 16 mg per serving.

While these remedies appear to be straightforward, Shade expressed that it took a bit of effort to achieve the delivery system necessary. He stated,

“We have been doing the R&D on these products for a couple of years. We have been making nanoparticles for more than 10 years, and we’ve got them down into the 20-nanometer range.”

The effects offered with the bioavailability boost for CBD has an impressive effect. The increased uptake works for certain ingredients like protein, which has an improved impact on the health. However, Shade’s focus is on CBD, which is specific to certain pathways. Shade remarked, “What speed of delivery does is to focus the dose into a smaller window.” He explained that the goal of many formulators has to do with the activation of genes that can reduce inflammation. The CBD and botanicals products involved with this new line are meant to work on that trigger, and to deliver the results quickly.
