According to a press release, Neiman Marcus will be offering hemp-based CBD beauty products. The press release indicates, “As part of the brand's Trending Beauty initiative, the company started carrying “CBD brands online and in five stores with products from Sagely Naturals, Cannuka, Cannabliss Organic, Code of Harmony, Ildi Pekar, Vertly, and Yuyo Botanics.”
Beauty buyer of Neiman Marcus, Kim D’Angelo, said in a press release, “Our new CBD assortment is an important part of Neiman Marcus' commitment to the health and well-being of our customers.”
Sephora took a similar route in September, choosing to develop multiple products of their own with the use of hempseed oil, which is slightly different from CBD.
Dave Donnan, a senior partner at consulting firm A.T. Kearney for the food, beverage and agriculture industry, shared with Dallas News, “many major retailers are ‘sitting on the sidelines and waiting to get clarification from the FDA and others.'” He added, however, that “every retailer we have talked to is looking at it. They just haven't pulled the trigger.”
Presently, Neiman Marcus can sell their CBD products at select locations.
