Craft 1861 CBD Brand To Make History With World Boxing Council And Create New Hemp Products

  • A co-branded product line has never been distributed worldwide by a sports organization and a CBD company.
  • The partnership between the WBC and PayPal will allow CBD to be used on injured boxers.

As a global leader in CBD tech and products, Craft 1861 has become a major force in making history in the CBD sector. However, in an effort to expand their reach, the company has partnered with the World Boxing Council (WBC), allowing them to develop a co-branded wellness product line. The collaboration will also be part of the efforts to establish a new recovery protocol, educate the masses, and develop nutritional programs, according to reports from PR Newswire.

None of the products from the Craft 1861 have THC, which is the psychoactive element found in cannabis. It was the first brand to be an CBD industry sponsor of an IndyCar team, which required a lengthy approval process with an analysis of regulations from the city to the federal level. NBCUniversal also had to provide consent.

This new venture with the WBC ultimately aims to develop the first CBD wellness protocol that is acceptable for use by trainers and medical personnel. Eventually, Craft 1861 and WBC want to make it possible to have safe and effective immediate intervention for boxers who sustain injuries or need longer-term treatment. The protocol that WBC and Craft 1861 are planning involves no THC and can be formulated within minutes of the injury occurring.

Eric Lujan, the co-founder and Principal of Craft 1861, said,

“We are thrilled to partner with the WBC to improve the recovery time and the long-term health of these dedicated athletes.” He added that the products from Craft 1861 have no THC, which allows the user to get the benefits without the ”high” feeling.

A portion of the sales from this product line will go towards professional boxers who have since retired and have experienced financial hardship.
