Athletes for CARE (A4C) and CaniBrands to Advocate for CBD in Sports Nutrition

CaniBrands, a CBD brand that offers consumer products, announced in a press release its partnership with Athletes for CARE (A4C). Together, the pair designed A4C as their “Charity of Choice.” A4C was founded by professional athletes and is a non-profit organization that empowers athletes to drive for social change in areas such as heath, safety, and quality of life.

Both CaniBrands and A4C will work together to educate and advocate for CBD and its ability to promote performance and sports recovery. The pair, in its work together, hope to alter the perception of CBD in the sports arena by targeting industries and generating large-scale engagement at conferences and wellness events in the sports and fitness spaces.

Riley Cote, the co-founder of Athletes for Care and a former NHL player, shared in the press release,

“Many of the challenges facing current and former professional athletes today, such as depression, addiction, and chronic pain are struggles shared by billions of people around the world.”

He continued,

“A4C and CaniBrands commitment to raising awareness about these important issues and providing supportive solutions allows us to explore the use of CBD that could lead to a better quality of life for the public at large.”

Chris Lord, CEO of CaniBrands, also shared in the press release,

“A4C’s dedication to raising awareness about the challenges facing current and former professional athletes today offers strong support for our shared vision of generating a broader reach within the sports, wellness and fitness community.”

He continued,

“We are delighted to announce this important partnership with A4C, and to make the use of CBD accepted based on providing education and awareness.”
